Linux Kernel Development Diary 6
This is the last entry of the vcnl4000.c patch.
There were, at the end, 6 versions of the patch before its acceptance.
Requested changes by Jonathan
After the LGTM from Andy, Jonathan requested some changes in the patch.
We has only changed the pattern expliocited in the last entry, but there were other mutex usages that would also benefit from the guard scoping.
Therefore, we (Kim and me) applied those changes and submitted the patch. We got some other requests as direct function return and drop of variable initialization, which were also made.
At the sixth version, the patch was accepted and will be applied to the next release (as of today).
This ends our contributtions to the kernel on the 1st phase of the Free Software discipline. It is exciting that code made by me and Kim will be on the kernel.
